NOTT'S AREA M.G.O.C. 16th DUKERIESROAD RUN
SUNDAY 20th SEPTEMBER 2009
75 cars booked for the Dukeries Road Run organised by the Notts Area MG Owners Club.
The cars meet for the start at The Lock Keeper public house in Worksop. After a cup of coffee and a bacon/sausage cob Penny and Bob flagged the cars off to start the 80 mile run through North Nottinghamshire.
We had a halfway halt at The Burntstump public house for another coffee. The run then continued through rural parts of South Notts and Leicestershire to finish at The Heritage Museum in Ruddington near Nottingham:
At The Heritage Museum a 8 mile steam train ride of about an hour was arranged
The weather started off cold but clear, by the end it was really warm. A raffle was drawn and many and varied prize were won.
The whole day produced a profit of £600 that was donated to two local hospitals , Kings Mill Hospital & Nottingham City Hospital for their breast cancer funds.
